Well, regretfully, I have gained the typical 10-15 pounds over the holidays. It is funny how that happens, especially when I havent really stopped exercising. I guess the whole calorie in, calorie out is not just a myth it seems to be science. Since it is science, I trully need to pay attention and either ratchet up the exercise or ratchet down the food consumption. I hate to think that the metabolism thing is just going to get worse as I get older. I am a relatively young 43, just like my mom is a relatively young 63. Everything I do is below my age level...ask my wife....or Karen.... or anyone else that we know.
The thing is that Shawna and I have signed up for a cruise with some friends of ours (May 2) and so we have to be close to swimsuit shape by the time that we get to that date. Of course, that means different things for myself and my woman. Speaking of my woman, she just got a KICK ASS haircut. VA VA VOOM. I am the luckiest guy.
OK, now that that is out of the way I wanted to see if anyone is interested in training for an actual marathon. 26.2 miles is a long way, but I am determined to do it and would love to have someone to train with. I cant seem to get Shawna or Karen interested so I am looking for some outside help. Any takers?

A GOOD SECOND DAY FOR EUSTIS FIT CLUB
This was to be a joke. I am really a sailing guy that used to be a runner years ago. Picture of me both walking and sailing. Then I thought better of it, but couldn't get it erased. Now I am sort of stuck with it on facebook. Could be worse.
Today, our second Saturday, was a great day for runners and walkers. Shane Sherman and Kristy Rohwedder got us off running and walking.
Sam was at the back end of the walkers. Not a bad place to be. You get a better look at the neighborhood and the things along the way. We had one walker that hadn't done much walking recently (me, too) and she sort of came to a halt on the way up the hill. I was happy to wait with her for a automobile ride to come back for her.
A suggestion for those walkers over 30 years who haven't been walking recently--- don't try the whole circle around the lake, remember it is a steep hill to get back to the parking lot. Better yet, after the runners and walkers are off, drive down the hill and park on the grass, do the one mile walk and drive home. Do some walking three times a week and then do the up and down next week. Slow and easy will do it for most of us.

FLYERS, RUNNERS AND WALKERS
.
If this is a flyer, she is banking right. We will have a lot about running, but if she is a walker,
she is walking to get to running,
she is walking to loose weight,
she is walking to race walk,
or she is walking to walk....
to see the birds, visit the neighbors, go around the park, to increase ability to walk, improve heart function, correct cholesterol, fight off diabetes...
.
Join our group if you JUST want to walk.

Eustis Fit-Club "GREAT MORNING!"
.
.
.
What a GREAT turn out we had this morning! I was actually SURPRISED at the cars that kept driving up! and ALL of the people I knew!!
.
A friend of mine Leslie Campione said: "I was worried no one would show up.. so I felt like I better go and support Karen! hahahaha"
Well 36 people showed up! and several who weren't there are planning to be there next Saturday.
.
Matt Kolozsvary ( a personal trainer at the Y) talk about reaching goals, stretching & warming up before getting started.
.
I love the different levels everyone did - We Headed down to Lake Gracie and didn't have to call 911!!! .
.
Thank you Kristy Rohwedder, So much for handling him coming to train us rednecks =) And also Kristy has suggested and I think this is a great idea to have a "baseline" on what your time is, so that you have something to compare it too! And so we will have a stop watch at the one mile mark for just that!
.
Thank you Sam Chapin, for initiating this!
Roben Bronsen took pictures for us, and so that will be going out as well!
These will all be on our facebook page. FACEBOOK Eustis Fit-Club
.
Lining up for the stretches!
.
Ok... Shawna explaining the proper dance move that we should be doing - Me I think it's called:
16---42!!! HUT HUT
..
And then there is ALWAYS the Peanut Gallery..
Shug, and Joanna... laughing at how ridiculous we look!
.
.
Here we GO! (and I see now that I DO run like a GIRL!!!)
More on Facebook.. check us out!
.
.
Thanks again for being a part of this! Let me know if I need to add anyone to the email list!
We also have a blogspot as well! Would love to have you all join us there!
Until we Run/Walk Again!
